This Privacy Policy explains what information Sharksnot collects, why it is collected, and how it is processed and stored. By inviting Sharksnot to your server or using its features, you agree to this policy.

01Information We Collect

To provide security, moderation, and backup capabilities, Sharksnot stores and processes the following data:

Server Configurations

  • Guild (Server) IDs
  • Channel, Category, and Role IDs
  • Custom configuration settings (Verification options, Anti-Nuke limits, Anti-Alt sensitivity, Logging channel mappings)

Moderation & Security Logs

  • Target User IDs and Moderator/Executor User IDs
  • Action types, reasons, case IDs, and timestamps
  • Temporary cache data for fast-message spam detection (cleared automatically within seconds)
  • Account age, join date, and security risk flags used for Verification & Anti-Alt detection

Server Backups

When you trigger a server backup, Sharksnot stores a structure snapshot of your server, which includes:

  • Role names, colors, and permissions
  • Channel names, categories, topics, and permission overwrites
  • General server settings

*Backups never contain user message history, direct messages, or member list exports.

02Real-Time Processing vs. Storage

  • Message Content Processing: To enforce Auto-Mod features (such as Anti-Link, Anti-Invite, and Anti-Spam), message contents are inspected in real-time in temporary memory. Message content is never saved to a database or permanently stored.
  • What We Never Collect: We do not collect DMs, passwords, account tokens, email addresses, or raw financial/credit card details.

03How Your Data Is Used

The collected data is strictly used to:

  • Execute security, moderation, verification, and anti-nuke protocols.
  • Store moderation history (cases and logs) for server staff review.
  • Recreate server structures upon restoring a user-initiated backup.
  • Manage premium subscription entitlements (if applicable).
We never sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties or advertising networks.

04Third-Party Services

We only utilize secure, reputable third-party infrastructure to run Sharksnot:

  • Hosting Providers: Secure cloud infrastructure for running bot processes and PostgreSQL database storage.
  • Payment Processors: If purchasing Premium, transactions are handled securely via third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). We only receive transaction status and your Discord User ID to grant perks.

05Data Retention & Deletion

  • Configuration & Logs: Retained while the bot remains in your server to maintain operational history.
  • Backups: Stored until manually deleted by the server administrator or upon reaching account limits.
  • Bot Removal: If Sharksnot is kicked or removed from a server, stored guild configurations and backups are flagged for deletion and automatically purged within 30 days.

06Your Data Rights & Deletion Requests

You have the right to request access to or deletion of data associated with your Discord User ID or Server ID.

Server Owners: Removing Sharksnot from your server will automatically queue your server configuration for deletion.

Manual Requests: You may request manual deletion of your moderation logs or backups at any time by contacting us via our official support server.

07Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of Sharksnot following any updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
